Epilogue is a monthly
magazine of news, current affairs and social
sciences focusing at Jammu and Kashmir with a
scholarly approach.
Launched in January
2007 as Jammu and Kashmir’s first journal of
research and critical inquiry, Epilogue is
written by some of the scholars and experts who
are best in their fields not only in Jammu and
Kashmir but also at national level.
Epilogue is perhaps
the first scholarly, analytical and
investigative monthly journal on Jammu and
Kashmir which addresses important issues ranging
from economy, politics and culture to security
and strategic affairs in the region. Epilogue
offers a variety of perspective and plurality of
approaches to meet challenges of future and
present predicament of our society.
Epilogue is
collectively edited by leading editors and
publishes original contributions from scholars,
experts and journalists having a keen eye on
jammu and Kashmir. The journal reaches and
further endeavours to reach people in the
south-asia region who contribute to policy
formulation.
Epilogue is backed by
a network of journalists, media-practitioners,
academicians, experts, researchers and scholars
belonging to different parts of Jammu and
Kashmir across both sides of Line of Control.
Epilogue has done
several dozens of such stories which were path
breaking and first of nature. Those researched
stories became references and the magazine was
able to achieve what competitors could not have
done after spending lakhs of rupees on
advertisements. Quotes of Epilogue by celebrity
authors in leading newspapers and magazine in
India and elsewhere is a testimony.
A number of foreign
institutes, think tanks and Universities have
already collaborated with Epilogue in getting
their works on Jammu and Kashmir published.
Notable among them are Center for Foreign
Relations (US) (one lead story 2009), United
States Institute of Peace USIP (US) (two full
cover stories, 2008 and 2009), University of
Urbana Champaign (US) (cover story 2009),
Conciliation Resources (London) (cover story
2009).
The feedback which we
get month after month suggests that a variety of
readers ranging from scholars to journalists and
strategic experts to decision makers refer to
Epilogue as a key document for objective
understanding on Jammu and Kashmir.
In Jammu and Kashmir
Epilogue is the largest circulated magazine and
our readership is upward of one lakh with
certified monthly print run of 20,000 copies. |
